For the lover of jalapeño poppers and pizza. This recipe combines the love for both. Do something nice for your tastebuds.
1 baking tray
1 basting brush
4 large sheets of phyllo dough
1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
3 sticks of string cheese
1/3 cup of pizza sauce
4 slices of pepperoni per popper
1/4 stick of salted butter
1 clove of garlic minced
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Using a knife, cut each side off the pepper. Take out the seeds and flesh of the jalapeños.
Wrap 2 slices of pepperoni around the string cheese and stuff it into the hollowed out pepper.
Add the butter and the garlic to a microwaveable safe bowl and melt it.
Lay down the phyllo dough and paint it with the butter mixture. Repeat this process 2 more times making 3 buttered layers of dough.
Roll the pepper with the buttered dough. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
Take the peppers out of the oven and cover with sauce, cheese and pepperoni. Put it back in the oven until the cheese melts.
