Meet Kevin, the cheese steak frittata. Packed with layers of provolone, cheese, steak, and peppers. Recipe below.
1 large piece of flank steak
1 sliced onion
2 sliced peppers
10 large slices of provolone cheese
1 cup of shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
1 cup of heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce, olive oil and soy sauce
1 teaspoon of garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper
Add the sliced onions to a frying pan and begin to sauté. When the onions become soft, add the peppers and continue to cook until they have become soft.
Add the steak to a bowl. To the bowl, add the soy sauce, Worcestershire, olive oil, and seasoning. Combine and set aside.
Heat a pan to high heat. Sear the steak on one side for 3 minutes, flip and sear for another 2 minutes. Set aside to rest.
Whisk together the eggs and whipping cream. Season with salt and pepper. Add a small piece of parchment paper to a cake pan. Add 5 slices of provolone cheese to the bottom of the pan and into the egg mixture.
Slice the steak into small chunks. Add a layer of the onion and peppers. Add half the steak and half the shredded cheese. Repeat all the layers. Put it in a 350 F. oven for 30 minutes.
Garnish with parmesan cheese and sliced green onions.
